Public Transportation

All buses (excluding express buses and intercity buses) and subways nationwide can be used with the T-Money Transportation Card or a credit card with the T-Money Transportation Card function, and an additional fee is added based on the distance to the basic section fare. The fare is determined based on the distance traveled, not the number of transfers from the departure point to the destination.

As of June 29, 2025, the basic section fare in Seoul is 1,550 won, and the following additional fees apply.

Within 10~50km: 100 won added for every 5km up to 5km
Over 50km: 100 won added for every 8km up to 8km
When using consecutively within and outside the metropolitan area, the metropolitan area fare is applied first, and for sections outside the metropolitan area (Pyeongtaek ~ Sinchang, Gapyeong ~ Chuncheon), 100 won is added for every 4km up to 4km
